What do books know anyway?

I've combed this tome from front to back. We thought as thick as this page turner was, it would cover everything, leave no surprises in the wings. For every month of our child's first year they've covered all sorts of "what to expect" for physical, emotional, psychological aspects of his development. With so much covered, down to details like "when you can expect your child to finally use those cute little opposable thumbs," we really thought we knew it all. So Jana was certainly surprised to find another baby in the kitchen this morning hungry and waiting to be fed. I'm as surprised as anyone. Nowhere in What to Expect- The First Year, does it cover that Dads will most certainly purchase a frameset for the upcoming track season in response to the overwhelming fear that child rearing does not involve any physical risk, and in fact may result most likely in a sedentary lifestyle of Netflix and beer drinking. I just don't get it. I'll be writing to the author to make sure upcoming editions cover some of these lesser known aspects of childhood development and specifically what new Dads should expect in that first year as well.

Uh, yeah - netflix, and beer drinking...which inevitably leads to more babies. Paul, give in, it's happening all up and down Main Street already, and even beyond. Join the club, you know you want to. Besides, your other baby is cuter than this one, although this one is very pretty. Don't worry, you'll have your life back in about 17 1/2 years ;)

that thing is super hawt, nice going. Fri night velodrome is perfect for a few races and a nice picnic with your wifey n kid in the stands, nice work.
And the good thing is , it's not like your out for 6hrs on the bike training for poncy road races ... rock on sweet velodrome nights.
