The latest transmission from P&J (who are now in Adis Abeba, Ethiopia) to Brett (ghost blog poster):
This is a wild place! I wouldn't even know where to start (but since you guys traveled to Morocco, I bet you've seen similar). We walked all day yesterday, feet hurt. And we saw it all, the full reality, the poverty, the kids on the street. Was hard on Jana and I both, but Jana about had all she could take in one day. I suppose I got a bit more comfortable with the situ as the day went on. We've been writing everyday in the diary, trying to capture all this.
We're off to see coffee roasting tomorrow, then out to the countryside to the south for the rest of the week. A couple of smaller towns and cities, resorts and that.
Jana is really wanting to meet little Adi! The kids here are all beauttiful. The people in general are very beautiful. I think the more we see the more we want to know our little guy. But! We must travel and observe first!
We had a great day today, (Friday). We went to see some weavers in action on the looms. We bought some really nice bolts of fabric, scarves etc. Wish I could share some of those photos, but dont have them as jpegs yet. Weather is pretty ideal, sunny, cool in the mornings, warm mid-day, then cool at night.
OK, that's maybe enough, we're on a timer here. We're having a blast, its as different as we could have imagined. Can't wait to share more detail with everyone.

Hey guys, so glad you made it to Ethiopia! It's pretty freakin sobering to be in a 3rd world country, isn't it? I hope you guys get to see some wonderful culture there, I'm sure you'll have great stories to tell Adi as he's growing up! Everything is swell on Main Street, Vaughn and I 'played' in your backyard today - all is in tact. We miss you guys and can't wait to meet Adi!! Cheers -Jill
