Floor work very hard on the back. Got about 2/3 rds of the floor down and decided to throw some money at the problem to make it go away. Priceless. Floors are finished, cabinets are arriving tomorrow. Went back to our guy in Scappose for some re-claimed red oak T&G. Very nice stuff. About half way into the install a guy called offering to finish the floor. The salvage guy had passed my name along. So faced with a week on the road with work, and not making the floor happen in an expedited fashion myself, cutting the check for 750 to finish the install and put down the finish seemed worth it. Used a Euro style 0 VOC oil slash catalyzed wax finish as modeled by the prone blonde.
