Fueled by Pastry

After taking the last week off for a trip back to Chi town, it was back at it on the ever expanding kitchen project.  The old siding came off with a bit of a fight, as I was trying to save as much as possible for some patch work on the West side. Note the yellow Dixie basking in the sun.  Never so happy.  Dog Goose likes to hang out right next to things being sawn, and likes also to lie in piles of saw dust too.  Why not?  Don't have a picture of where we ended up, but it looks sheeted!  Lets hope those new windows come in that we payed such top coin for.  Also some small progress on electrical.  Between 50 hours weeks and 10 hours/day on weekends on the house, I run the risk of overexposure. Sunday was no less than 7 pastries from Grand Central.  Consumed over the course of the day, I had a slow and steady release of butter and sugar directly into the bloodstream.  Nice.

this just in: paul challenges bob vila to pastry eating contest. vila fires back double-or-nothing on pastiness. paul wins both tries. vila sulks off, spotted later at kenny & zuke's, noshing on lemon bars and rugelach.
